- The news presenter for today's edition of the local 9:00 p.m. news program for WALA-TV (Renee Dials of "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") made an announcement about their having a new electronic mail (e-mail) address
for members of the public to send pieces of information to them that may be
used in news reports for their local news operation (it differed from
the previous address (reportit@fox10tv.com) by having the brand name of
their broadcast operation ("FOX 10") both before and after its @ symbol
(fox10reportit@fox10tv.com)).
- This past Friday's edition of the local 9:00 p.m. news program for WALA-TV had video of a member of the Cable News Network
(CNN) located in the District of Columbia doing a live report about a
snowstorm located there that day before answering questions about it by
the news presenters for the program in Mobile (the name of the reporter
was Chris Welch; the names of the news presenters were Bob Grip and Lenise Ligon; the day of the month for this past Friday (January) was the 22nd.
